Definition: A prime banner is a rectangular ad appearing near the top of the center column of a page. On our home page, a prime banner ad rotates with other prime banner ads (if any) in the top position (before the news). When it is not in the top position, it appears somewhat further down the page between news links. This ad is highly visible and is 'clickable' sending users to the advertisers page or, if preferred, an email link.
Size: Prime banners are 468x60 pixels.
Cost: A prime banner ad on our home page costs $47.50/month. (10% discount for six or more months). The same ad may be repeated on one or more secondary pages for 50% off.
Design: We’ll be glad to design a banner for your consideration at no cost for design work.

Tile Ad

Definition: A tile ad is a square ad appearing on the right side of the screen. It is 'clickable' sending users to the advertisers page or, if preferred, an email link.
Size: Standard tiles on Red Arrow News are 125x125 pixels. The length can be customized (contact us for information).
Cost: A standard tile ad on the home page costs $35/month. The same tile ad may be repeated on a secondary page for 50% off. For six months or more a 10% discount applies.
Design: We’ll be glad to design a tile for your consideration at no cost for design work.

News Banner

Definition: A news banner ad is a rectangular ad appearing in the center column of our home page between news stories. It is 'clickable' sending users to the advertisers page or, if preferred, an email link.
Size: Standard news banners are typically 468x60 pixels. The size (both length and width) is somewhat flexible.
Cost: A standard news banner ad on our home page costs $22.50/month. For six months or more a 10% discount applies.
Design: We’ll be glad to design a news banner for your consideration at no cost for design work.

Ads on Other Pages

Prime Banner

Definition: A prime banner is a rectangular ad appearing near the top of the center column of a page. The prime banner ad rotates with other prime banner ads (if any) near the page top. This ad is highly visible and is 'clickable' sending users to the advertisers page or, if preferred, an email link.
Size: Prime banners are 468x60 pixels.
Cost: A primer banner on a page other than the home page costs $27.50/month (somewhat less if you are repeating a home page ad).
Design: We’ll be glad to design a banner for your consideration at no cost for design work.

Tile Ad

A square tile ad, appearing on the right hand side of the screen, may be placed on any page. A tile ad on a page other than the home page costs is $20/month. (If you are repeating an ad that also appears on the home page, the additional cost is $17.50/month per page).

Featured Listing

Businesses listed on specialized pages of Red Arrow News (such as Lodging, Galleries, Antiques, etc.) may purchase a featured listing for a nominal charge. This provides:

Duplicate listing in “Featured” section at top of the page,

Business name in bold,

Text description (up to 50 words),

Logo, photo, or other graphic,

Link to your Web site,

Email link

Cost: A featured listing costs only $7.50/month (three-month minimum). For 12 months, you get one month free.

Real Estate Advertising

Property Ads (on our "Real Estate For Sale" page)

Individual properties may be advertised on our Real Estate for Sale page. Each property ad may include:

Descriptive text up to about 50 words

One photo or other graphic

Link to agent’s website

Link to agent’s email, and

One or more additional external links

Property ads cost $35 each, and the ad may remain online up to 12 months without any additional charge as long as ads are not changed (list price excepted). Otherwise a $15 change fee applies.

Featured Listings (on the "Real Estate Offices/Agents" page)

Real estate offices and individual agents may purchase a featured listing on the Real Estate Agency page. For pricing information, see "featured listing" above. (Note that real estate offices in our immediate area have a basic listing for free.

Open Houses

Our open house page lists open houses by date. It helps connect buyers with sellers, who are often unaware of open houses unless they happen to stumble upon them. This page is especially good at connecting with buyers coming from out of the area.

Advertising an open house on our new page is easy. Just email us this information: the date and time of the open house; property address; brief text (just the basics - no more than 20-30 words); your web & email links (optional); a property photo (optional); and your name, office & phone number.

These open house ads are offered at an introductory rate of $15 each (for an ad repeated from another date, the cost is only $5 if placed at the same time).

Business Directory

Listings in the Business Directory are free to any of the above advertisers for the duration of their ad. For others, a listing may be purchased for $7.50/month (four-month minimum).

Businesses without Web Sites

Businesses without web sites may advertise on Red Arrow News by:

Linking to one of our pages that encourages the viewer to call the advertiser for more information, or by
Linking to one of our pages that displays your ad (such as one that might appear in a newspaper or magazine).
Alternatively, businesses without web sites may have their web page (or set of pages) on the Red Arrow News web site.

Calendar of Events

Event listings on our calendar page are free for non-commercial, community events in the greater Harbor Country area. Other events may be listed for $10 per entry. A listing includes descriptive text (about 50 words) and may include web & email links and a small graphic. Events may be posted as far in advance as you like. Gallery openings, entertainment and special events would be ideal. For businesses with numerous shows, please contact us for special rates.
